This week in the Big 10 witnessed a couple of major milestones. Michigan State Spartans coach Tom Izzo earned win 700 in a victory over the Michigan Wolverines. And Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark became the NCAA’s second all-time scorer in the Lady Hawkeyes win over the Northwestern Wildcats Wednesday night. Congratulations to both Tom Izzo and Caitlin Clark from all of us at Locked on Big 10!
Speaking of hoops, Matt Painter and his Purdue Boilermakers battled to an overtime win over Northwestern at Mackey Arena Wednesday. The last time they played, Northwestern got the upper hand in overtime at Evanston. Perhaps a tiebreaker is in store during the Big 10 Tournament next month.
We also discuss Ryan Day’s explanation for hiring Bill O’Brien as the Ohio State Buckeyes new offensive coordinator. We analyze his answer from a recent interview he granted.
