It is expansion and realignment season in college football. Florida State and Clemson are suing to get out of the ACC because of their horrible, low-paying media rights deal. Many (Locked on Big 10 included) feel schools like Florida State and Clemson might be a good fit in the Big Ten in the future. While court cases and mediation are taking place, Thursday August 15, 2024 is the deadline for ACC schools to announce whether they plan to leave in time for the 2025 college football season. Such an announcement would lead to another expansion and realignment shakeup in the college football world.
BUCKEYES BUCKED?
Meanwhile, the Ohio State Buckeyes football program has been killing it on the recruiting trail. Their class of 2025 is already ranked number one in the country and they are looking to add to their roster and close recruiting season with a bang. But a couple of head scratching misses have occurred thus far in August. We will explain here.
First year Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti has a clear cut leader in his quarterback battle in Bloomington and a couple of starters will miss the Purdue football season opener with injuries.
