Michigan Football Maize and Blue Game: 3 Things to Watch!

The Michigan football team holds its annual Maize and Blue Game to kick off the 2024 college football season and begin to defend its National and Big 10 Championship.

A lot of coaches and players from the 2023 college football champions are gone including Jim Harbaugh and JJ McCarthy. But there is enough talent remaining to make a run at a fourth straight Big 10 Championship.

BIG SHOES TO FILL
We have three things to keep an eye on during the Maize and Blue game. First and foremost the battle at quarterback between Alex Orji and Jayden Denegal takes center stage. JJ McCarthy left big shoes to fill. Tune in here to find the other two must-watch items.

Curt Cignetti kicks off the 2024 Indiana football campaign with the Hoosiers spring game tonight (Thursday). Can he turn the Hoosiers fortunes around? They have an interesting quarterback battle on their hands as well.

CASHING IN
Speaking of Indiana, Mike Woodson and the basketball team landed a big 7 foot center in the transfer portal. Tune in to find out how much NIL money it took to get him!

Finally, we close out the podcast with a look toward the weekend schedule on the Big 10 Network with Big 10 Classics and Live Action, including spring football. It’s all here on Locked on Big 10 with Craig Shemon.
