Michigan Football Coach Jim Harbaugh Bolts to the Chargers!

BREAKING NEWS: Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh is leaving the Wolverines following their national championship to take the Los Angeles Chargers head coaching job. Harbaugh gets a 5 year deal worth a reported 18 million dollars a year. Harbaugh takes over a 5-12 Chargers football team that woefully underperformed but has a tremendously gifted quarterback in Justin Herbert.

The team is almost 28 million dollars over the salary cap so there might be some early roster cuts.

Meanwhile, what does this mean for Michigan? While offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore is expected to be the Wolverines next coach, it remains to be seen which members of the staff head west with Harbaugh. It also remains to be seen which athletes leave or stay since Harbaugh’s departure opens the transfer portal for the next 30 days.

In other news Beth Goetz removed the interim tag from her title and she is officially now the Athletic Director for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Her top priority is to help Kirk Ferentz find an offensive coordinator for the Iowa Hawkeyes football team.

We have all of that plus our first look at the weekend on the Big 10 Network with Big 10 Classics and Big 10 Live Action. It’s all here on Locked on Big 10 with Craig Shemon.
