Urban Meyer Says NIL is Cheating; Lisa Bluder Retires

URBAN MEYER SAYS NIL IS CHEATING

Former Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer says Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) payments have evolved into cheating in college football. He says what the system was designed for and what it has become are two different things.

Meyer says if a business wants to pay an athlete to appear on their billboard than he is all for that. But if collectives just scrape together millions of dollars from donors to hand directly to players, then that is wrong. And he’s right. Because the latter is exactly what is happening in college football (and hoops too!)

COACH PRIME IN PRIME TIME
Tune in because we also have some Big Ten prime time TV announcements. And one of them includes coach Prime, Deion Sanders and Colorado entering Big Ten college football territory. Colorado vs Nebraska could be a great quarterback showdown between Shedeur Sanders and the Huskers 5 star true freshman Dylan Raiola!

LISA BLUDER RETIRES
In a surprising move, Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder announced her sudden retirement from the sport. She coached the Hawkeyes for 24 seasons and is the Big Ten’s winningest coach. The past two seasons she led Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes to the National Championship game.

Finally we will have fun with our weekly Tuesday Tweets segment. See if your Tweets made the list on Locked on Big 10 with Craig Shemon.
