James Franklin and Penn State football have one of the best programs in the Big Ten and college football. But the knock on them is they cannot win the big game because Ohio State and Michigan football have historically been in their way.

While there is no game with Michigan on the Penn State football schedule this year, the Ohio State game is fast approaching. But do Franklin and his Nittany Lions get credit for a ‘big win” last Saturday at USC? It is a fair question because while it felt like a big game, the Trojans are not ranked in the AP top 25 poll.
