As we digest the first weekend of the Big Ten college football season we think some things stood out.
It was fun to see creativity with the Andy Kotelnicki led offense at Penn State. Multiple formations, motion and multiple attack points will be the norm for quarterback Drew Allar and company this year. And if you wondered how a true freshman would perform at Nebraska, quarterback Dylan Raiola is the real deal. He looked comfortable immediately. We cannot wait for this week’s showdown vs Colorado with coach Prime Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur Sanders at quarterback.

ELITE D
We think the Ohio State defense is ELITE! Wow! We know the Buckeyes were “only” playing Akron, but their defense is going to be a problem for EVERYBODY. They are strong up front. They are strong in the middle. And they are strong in the secondary.
Speaking if defenses we loved how the Iowa football defense performed Saturday. Even though the Hawkeyes scored 40 points we think Iowa football will still lean on a great defense and hope for some offense on their way to a nice win total this season.
A LITTLE CONCERNED
If there are any concerns around the Big Ten, we might ask Michigan football fans how they felt during the first three and a half quarters against Fresno State. However, the Wolverines did not look like last year’s Wolverines until the final six minutes of the game.
We are hearing from Oregon football fans that they are disappointed in their ten point win vs Idaho. But a win is a win. Right?
