According to a USA Today plan for massive college football conference expansion and realignment, six Big Ten Teams would be better off leaving the league. Those half dozen schools include USC, UCLA, Washington, Nebraska, Maryland and Rutgers. Locked on Big Ten’s Craig Shemon refutes all of it and reiterates how any of these schools leaving the Big Ten would be catastrophic financially.
Locked on Big Ten also dives into a proposal to change college football’s controversial targeting penalty. Plus UCLA football looks like it will have to play in the Rose Bowl one more season while it fights the City of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl in court to break a lease which stretches to the year 2044. The Bruins would rather play at nearby SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.
Former USC Trojan wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane accused a football recruit of stealing his shoes from his locker! We guess the young kid will not be getting an offer from USC! Plus we look into the exciting finish in store for us with the end of the Big Ten Hockey season as Michigan State attempts to win the regular season conference title three years in a row with Michigan on it tail.
Plus we post our weekly Tuesday Tweets highlighting the USA Men’s Hockey team and its ties to Michigan. And we highlight Nebraska legend Tom Osborne’s birthday and the 41 year anniversary of Indiana basketball legend Bob Knight’s famous chair toss!
