The Ohio State Buckeyes have their Starting Quarterback

The Ohio State Buckeyes and football coach Ryan Day announced Kyle McCord edged Devin Brown for the starting quarterback job for their season opener against the Indiana Hoosiers. Did Day make the right choice? His quarterback track record may suggest he did. Day says McCord has been more consistent but Brown has earned playing time as well. Does that mean McCord is on a short leash and will that leash hinder McCord’s confidence as starting quarterback? These are important questions to consider.

Also, Michigan Wolverines transfer quarterback Cade McNamara was supposed to lift the sagging Iowa Hawkeyes offense this season. However a lingering summer injury may prevent him from starting Saturday’s season opener versus Utah State. Stay tuned.
