Many questions are swirling around the future of Ohio State football coach Ryan Day and whether he will be around to coach the Buckeyes in 2025. That is because boosters gave $20 million dollars in NIL money to fortify a roster which just lost to Michigan for the 4th straight season. The good news for Ryan Day is his team is in the college football playoffs and he will have a chance to redeem himself. But the bad news is he may have to win the college football national championship in order to keep his job.
Signing day (week) is under way and we will have he latest news on that front.
Oregon football flipped an Ohio State recruit and landed a 5-star quarterback. Michigan flipped an Auburn player. And it will be interesting to see if Indiana coach Curt Cignetti balances his roster full of transfer portal kids with some highly rated recruits.
Plus Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara is looking to the portal to play somewhere else. And Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz plans to return for a 27th year at Iowa in 2025. He should. He only needs two more wins to pass Woody Hayes as the all-time Big Ten wins leader.
Finally, we look ahead to Big Ten Classics and Live action this weekend on the Big Ten Network on Locked on Big 10 with Craig Shemon.
