While March Madness and the NCAA Tournament begins for men’s and women’s basketball, Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule finds himself in the middle of a storm in Lincoln. Athletic Director Trev Alberts is leaving Nebraska to take the same job at Texas A&M. Ironically, both the Nebraska men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams drew Texas A&M in their respective brackets Sunday. That was strange, huh?
STORM AT NEBRASKA
So, in the middle of what was supposed to be Matt Rhule’s introductory press conference to kick off spring football, he spent his first ten minutes talking about Alberts’ departure and the strength of the athletic department. It was not ideal, but Nebraska Football Coach Matt Rhule was a calming influence amid the chaos.
