Michigan State suspended Spartans football coach Mel Tucker for an inappropriate phone sex call with rape victim and sexual assault victims advocate Brenda Tracy. She says the call was not consensual. He said it was. Tracy had been hired to speak to the Spartans football team about sexual violence. It appears the university knew about the accusations but only suspended Mel Tucker after the story came to light when USA Today broke the news to the public. It is likely Tucker has coached his last game for the Spartans after signing a 10-year 95-million dollar deal in 2021.
