LIVE: Iowa Hawkeyes Passing Woes; Week 3 Big 10 Recap

Live reaction to Saturday 9/16 action around the Big 10! A lot of slow starts around the league today. How did your favorite team do? Check out this live edition Week 3 Big 10 Recap.

The Iowa Hawkeyes scored 41 points today despite almost no passing attack in their win vs Western Michigan. The Hawkeyes improved to 3-0 but quarterback Cade McNamara did not look great. He’s fake pumping and holding the ball too long. Remember, he missed a lot of practice this spring and summer with injuries. However, this was the first week he practiced all week with his bad quad. He still doesn’t look comfortable. Plus, some concerning news for the Hawkeyes. Tight end Luke Lachey appeared to suffer a serious injury and left the game on crutches. The good news is that the Iowa Hawkeyes are 3-0 with a big game at Penn State for the Nittany Lions White Out game next week.

Speaking of the Nittany Lions, the defense intercepted Luke Altmyer 4 times in their first road win of the season.

The Wisconsin Badgers defense hauled in 5 interceptions and came up with 6 sacks in their win over Georgia Southern.

The biggest disappointment in the Big 10 might have been the Minnesota Golden Gophers loss at North Carolina, despite the Gopher defense intercepting Heisman hopeful Drake Maye twice in the first half. The Gophers are really struggling at quarterback with Athan Kaliakmanis.

Elsewhere, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar did not look spectacular vs Illinois. However, Fighting Illini quarterback Luke Altmyer threw 4 interceptions. Also, the Orange-Out crowd at Illinois was a bit too quiet to matter.

The Michigan State Spartans could get nothing going against Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington Huskies.

The Ohio State Buckeyes exploded to a 63-10 win over Western Kentucky. Quarterback Kyle McCord found Marvin Harrison Jr. for a 75 yard touchdown.

Rutgers improved to 3-0 with a win over Virginia Tech and despite the Indiana Hoosiers loss to Louisville, quarterback Tayven Jackson to a big stride forward with his play.

The Northwestern Wildcats long season continued with a tough day at Duke.

The Nebraska Huskers, Purdue Boilermakers, and Michigan Wolverines all played under the lights while we went Live with Locked on Big 10 Saturday night.

We also, have our first peek at week 4 around the Big 10 on Locked on Big 10 with Craig Shemon.
