NEBRASKA FOOTBALL BREAKOUT SEASON
Matt Rhule begins year two with his Nebraska Football team and the preseason hope is as high as ever. And for good reason. The Huskers will be the breakout team for the 2024 college football season in the Big Ten. Now, we are not claiming the Huskers will be in the Big Ten championship. But with a fan base that has been clamoring for a bowl game appearance since 2016 it feels like that wait will be over.
HOPE AT QB
Why all of the hope? First of all, Nebraska was probably the best 5-7 team in the country in 2023. And a lot of their stingy defense returns in 2024. Plus 5-star freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola has everyone’s hopes pinned to his shoulders as he gets ready to take his first snaps under center at Memorial Stadium.
GRASS BABY!
Speaking of Memorial Stadium, included in the future upgrades are plans to put in real grass on the playing surface. The Huskers have played on artificial turf at home since 1970.
