Fighting Illini Build on Bret Bielema’s Early Success at Illinois

Illinois football coach Brett Bielema’s Fighting Illini won 8 games last year but lost a load of talent to the NFL.  In his pivotal third year at the helm, will the program take a big step forward or fall back a bit? Illinois football must replace a lot of talent from its secondary quickly.  But the cupboard is not bare with a beefy defensive line returning and Mississippi quarterback transfer Luke Altmyer should be an upgrade for the offense.  Running back Reggie Love III will have to pick up where NFL’er Chase Brown left off.  We will analyze the Fighting Illini schedule that does not include University of Michigan or The Ohio State University.  But that does not mean it is an easy slate.
