The knock on Penn State football coach James Franklin is that he wins a lot of college football games but he does not win the big ones! It happened again this year despite Michigan missing from the schedule. Penn State still lost to Ohio State and Oregon, but finished with a great 11-2 record. Still they did not win the big ones.
Now they are one of four Big Ten teams in the college football playoffs and will face SMU Saturday. They are all big one’s from here on out as coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions will try to win a college football national championship.
Indiana football and their AP coach of the year Curt Cignetti will stake their place among football royalty and head to chilly South Bend to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in their college football playoff opener Friday night.
Saturday night the Tennessee Volunteers roll into Columbus to face Ryan Day and an Ohio State Buckeyes football team under all sorts of pressure coming off of a loss to arch rival Michigan.
