Big Changes Are Coming to Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes Athletic Director Gene Smith announced he will retire on June 30th, 2024. We explore the reasons why and we’ll look at his successful tenure at the helm of an athletic department that has a $300 million dollar annual budget. The Ohio State Buckeyes won a ton of games on the field during his tenure. Smith also had to deal with uncomfortable circumstances involving quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Jim Tressel and the Zach Smith – Urban Meyer situation which saw Gene Smith and Urban Meyer serve suspensions.

We also check in on the Northwestern Wildcats football team and Interim head coach David Braun as they piece the program back together following the recent hazing scandal. Finally, we look at our Locked On Colleagues’ first top 25 college football poll.
