OREGON DUCKS CLINCH SPOT
The top ranked Oregon Ducks had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to beat upset-minded Wisconsin to cap off a huge college football weekend around the Big Ten. The Oregon football team improved to 11-0 and clinched a spot in the Big Ten Championship game on December 7th in Indianapolis.
The Ducks, who have a bye week before their season finale against Washington, will likely face the winner of Saturday’s top five matchup between Indiana and Ohio State. (Although Penn State has a chance to crack the final two as well).
Speaking of Indiana, the Hoosiers gave first year head coach Curt Cignetti a huge contract extension after just 10 games. We have the details!
Elsewhere around the Big Ten, Ohio State and Penn State posted easy blow out wins. And Nebraska came up short with new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen in his debut against the USC Trojans. The Huskers have dropped four straight games. They still need one win to become bowl eligible with two games to go. And Illinois won at home and returned to the Associated Press Top 25!
