OREGON FOOTBALL: Ready for Big Ten; Orji to Start for Michigan

The Oregon football team is 3-0. But the Ducks barely won their first two games in which they were heavy favorites. College football is strange. People care about point spreads as much as victories. If a team fails to win by a large margin fans begin to worry.

That is not to say Oregon football was free of problems early on. Dan Lanning had a punch list of items to shore up or else the Oregon Ducks dream of competing for a Big Ten football championship or college football National Championship was going to fizzle out.

Michigan football has a quarterback problem. On Monday Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore announced Monday he is making a change at quarterback. Davis Warren is out. Alex Orji is in ahead of Saturday’s Big Ten football opener vs the USC Trojans at the Big House.

And Wisconsin is making a change at quarterback because they had to. Miami transfer Tyler Van Dyke injured his knee vs Alabama and will be out for the season.
